When it was time to remodel this Mediterranean style home in South Minneapolis, the owners had two major objectives. First, a new 2nd story addition in the back of the home, adding not just much-needed space but also an overlooking view of Lake Harriet. And secondly, they wanted to more of the open, flowing spaces, the white and light earth tones, and the tiered landscaping common to the style. A new family room had vaulted beamed ceilings to match the living room. The kitchen with large light brown tile flooring was given an arched entryway. The owner’s suite was also transformed with a white tiled bathroom showcasing a gorgeous pedestal bathtub. Finally, the outside was artfully landscaped, offering different tiers of plants, stone walkways and stairs, and a terrace over the underground garage.
