Located on a wide street with large homes, this house had a large lot but it was a modest 2-story stucco colonial. The owners wanted a much grander colonial with high ceilings, room to roam, and on a similar scale as the other homes on the street. We removed a dated 1-story addition and added a much bigger addition which doubled the square footage of the original. We also took the entire roof off (now too small for the home) and then replaced with an appropriate one. The whole home was then remodeled and refreshed: a clean, light-filled, modern colonial both spacious and inviting.
